My partner and I had an incredible time at the Gran Hotel. The hotel is stunning everyone inside. Cynthia the main manager and has been working there for over 14 years. Her English is perfect and was attentive from checkin to checkout. Emmanuel the bell hop is very funny and gives a great experience at check in. Would definitely recommend this place and will come again.

We didn't stay but had dinner at the restaurant. The hotel itself is beautiful on the inside and the staff that helped us were so sweet and helpful. The young lady that helped us up to the restaurant was telling us about the hotel and were you could get the best photos. We dined at night but came back the following day to see the light shine thru the stain glass it was worth the follow up trip.

The hotel was Exceptional, it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The location was amazing, right in the center of everything, The suite we had on the forth floor was amazing, it was quiet, it was big and loved the nice welcoming desert and small bottle of wine they for us to welcome us on our first night, nice touch! The staff were amazing, the service was amazing, our room was cleaned every day, they provided everything we needed. The staff at the reception were amazing and they facilitate a tour for us to see Teotihuacán, please book the tour with them and ask for (Susie Perez), she was our tour guide and she was amazing beyond words, the best tour guide we have ever had, God bless her, she went out of her way to help us and give us the best day possible. Overall the whole experience with this hotel was First Class and I think this will be our only hotel that I will book with every time we come back to Mexico City. Thank you to all of the wonder staff for their amazing work!!!!

The Gran Hotel Ciudad de México is in the perfect location — right in the heart of Mexico City! It’s within walking distance of the Zócalo (the main historic center), the Presidential Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and many great restaurants. The hotel itself is stunning, with amazing food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — all served with a spectacular view. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the service is excellent, and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mexico City!

Our check in was very smooth, They have a room, where you can get coffee and tea at all time. There is security by the elevators and watching the entry at all times. Jose Louis, served us Champaign, warm greeting and helped me get tickets to a show. He also was able to set up a private driver and tour to the Teotihuacan, they also went by the lady of Guadalupe. He was very informative. The roof top restaurant Terraza, has a great view, their brunch is a little expensive, since I eat like a bird, so I didn’t try it, but did enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Our room was very comfortable, and came with all the amenities. I would definitely come back to stay here. I wish I had checked out about the hot springs and waterfalls, but this a reason to come back. Definitely bring comfortable tennis shoes, it is all you really need during the day.

Beautiful hotel. It is a must if you can stay there, at least go in and check the Tiffany’s stained glass! Or at least go to the roof top restaurant with great views of the zocalo!

I'm going to cheat a little bit and refer you to the review by "American 'Doll' Girl". It was basically what I was about to write. My wife and I stayed there in late November. The location, the beautiful interior, the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff, all were wonderful! Thank God their english was much better than my spanish! More specifically with the staff, everyone was great, but I'd like to highlight one of the staff who waited on us a couple of times during the wonderful breakfast. Octavio was simply the best! Besides taking care of the usual things, he was one of the friendliest, professional, and very helpful staff there. He answered any and all questions that we had and seemed to truly enjoy what he was doing. Gave us great suggestions. A very genuine person!! I doubt this is the first time he's receiving a compliment online and it won't be the last! He is a great representative for the hotel and I hope they know what a great employee they have. Make a point of staying at this hotel. You won't regret it. Plus, when you have the wonderful, bountiful breakfast, look for Octavio. He's the best!!!

My second time staying at this legendary hotel and it did not disappoint though it did need some modernization and improvement to the lobby area which is a bit of a visual overload. I think the hotel does well for what it is and we slept well and enjoyed the quiet of our room. The thing we didn’t like is that our room wasn’t very well cleaned on any of the days housekeeping came to freshen.
